Jenni's Leatherwork career began when she was 18, through working at a local saddlery. Initally she became self taught through endless exploration of the materials and techniques involved. Jenni inspiration comes from a deep love for animals and birds and begins each piece with a blank piece of leather on which she is able to draw, carve, sculpt and colour. Jenni then went on to gain a dioploma of Visual Arts and Certificate IV in Workplace Trainiing and Assessment. Some of Jenni's most successful artworks have been the carving creations of Australian wildlife, birds in particular. Hand carved from leather to create 3Dimensional, 'Leather Art'. Jenni has exhibited her work across throughout Australia and demonstrated the techniques as Art and Agricultural Shows. Jenny has completed commissions from as far as America, England, Japan, Thailand and France.
